ANTHEA WOOD
Hello and thank you for stopping by my website to find out more about me and my practice.

I work from my home studio near Wooler, North Northumberland, and am inspired by equestrian and rural themes. I am currently focusing on oil painting however I also enjoy linoprinting and watercolour. I am a Friend member of the Society of Equestrian Artists and currently hold the position of Chair which is a rewarding and inspiring role.

I draw inspiration from my local surroundings and enjoy sharing the joys of creativity locally through Inky Fingers kids art club delivered in partnership with the Glendale Gateway Trust.

I have collaborated with the Glendale Agricultural Society to produce fundraising calendars of illustrations inspired by local rural life and I most recently worked with Durham University in 2025 to create the artwork and visual displays for the 'Hefted!' podcast project, sharing stories of Upland Farming in the Cheviots.
I am also Programme Manager for the Old Brewery Artist Studios in Tweedmouth and am inspired and energised by the many artists and creators I meet in this exciting role. Do visit if you are passing!

First and foremost however, I am committed to improving and developing my own painting practice. My works are on display at the wonderful Ingram Cafe in the heart of the beautiful Breamish and Ingram Valley.
Almost all of my works are for sale! If you have an enquiry, please just get in touch by phone or email. Thank you for visiting my website.
