This oil painting is inspired by the travellers who pass through our local town and overnight at the riverside.
 
Entitled, 'Travellers' Gold', the scene is of a horse at rest early morning with the sun coming up and reminds me of the old Gypsy proverb:
 
"Gypsy gold does not chink and glitter, it gleams in the sun and neighs in dark".
